Concert time!!

by Charles Laux on December 6, 2013

Our concert is this Sunday, December 8!!  We are SO excited! Remember the concert will be located in Brooker Hall within the Bailey Performance Center. This is the tall building a few over from our usual rehearsal building.  When coming in on Owl drive you can’t miss it, as you will see the new construction of an art museum being built onto the Bailey Center. A map is also below…

Students need to arrive starting at 1:15 PM and no later than 1:30 PM.  If you did not receive a T-Shirt, please be sure to arrive a few extra minutes early.

The concert will begin at approximately 1:45 PM.  Feel free to bring family, relatives, etc. to support our awesome string players!!  We couldn’t be more proud of our students and all of the work they have put in to prepare for this concert!

There will be a short reception in the same hall immediately following the concert.  If each family is able to bring a small plate of cookies or other goodies (finger foods) to share that would be great!!  Please no nuts or peanut butter.

Students should arrive in uniform: Black/dark pants or skirt; black shoes & socks; and the String Project T-Shirt.  Please also students are prepared with instrument/bow and all necessary sheet music.  They will NOT need their music stands for the concert!  The Bailey center has enough for us.

Note:  We ask that you please do not video record the performance, as it becomes very distracting for the performers and other audience members.  We will be video recording from several angles and will then post the edited concert on our YouTube channel.  Please feel free to bring still cameras, but refrain from taking photos during the performance. We will stop and allow time for that “Kodak moment!  In addition, we will have a dedicated photographer on site to take photos and will post them on this site for you to view and download.

A Map to the Bailey Performance Center is below.  The best parking for the BPC is lot E, but all parking is open on Sunday.
