Spring Concert Information

by Charles Laux on April 28, 2015

Dear String Project Students and Parents,

I hope you are getting excited for the KSU String Project’s Spring Concert on May 5!! The concert will take place at the Bailey Performance Center at Kennesaw State University.  It is important that each student is present, as everyone is an important part of the ensemble.

Report time is 6:30 PM and the concert begins at 7:00 PM.

Please bring:

  • instrument & bow
  • accessories (shoulder rest or rock stop and rosin)
  • book & music
  • Note: You will NOT need your music stand!

Dress up and look your best!  Dress clothes preferred — please no shorts, flip-flops or t-shirts.

Once you enter the Bailey Center, there will be people and signs to help you find your way to Brooker Rehearsal Hall.  You will unpack in Brooker and we will perform on stage.

The concert will feature each of the string project classes and special guest performers, The Palmer Middle School Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Susan Goudreau. The concert is free and open to the public, so invite family and friends!

Parking on campus for arts events is in LOT E.  See map & directions to the Bailey Performance Center.

Important Note:  We WILL have String Project classes next Tuesday, May 5, but will stop rehearsal a bit early to give parents and students time to get ready for the concert. We will begin at 3:30 PM and end at 4:30 PM.

As always, please let me know if you have questions or concerns!

Sincerely,

Charles Laux
