Registration & Tuition

Click here to register for Fall Semester 2017.

The tuition is just $75 per semester!  This equates to a mere $4.65 per instructional hour.  Compared to the $20-50 hourly rate of traditional music lessons, lessons through the KSU String Project are an incredible value. There are approximately 12-14  classes per semester, with each class lasting one hour and fifteen minutes.  At the end of every semester, students perform a concert on the beautiful Bailey Performance Center Stage at Kennesaw State University

After online registration is received, parents will be invoiced for the tuition via email.  Payment is due at the first class of the semester or can be mailed in advance to:

Ms. Nancy Conley
KSU School of Music
1000 Chastain Rd., MD 3201
Kennesaw, GA 30144

Important: All checks should be made payable to KSU.

Selecting an instrument to play

Don’t worry if you don’t know which instrument to choose! You can decide at any time.  When you are ready, the music store will size you for your instrument.  You can download a supply list so you can make a trip to the music store and get everything for your String Project class!

Obtaining an instrument

It is very important that students obtain a quality instrument.  Inferior instruments make learning to play extremely difficult.  A poor quality instrument is sometimes referred to as a “VSO,” short for “violin shaped object.”  While these instruments may be very inexpensive initially, they usually require numerous repairs to be fully playable. Please see our supplies page for more information about instruments and instrument vendors.
